Here’s a wonderful thought:
When Jesus told His disciples He leaves His peace with them (by extension, with us) in John 14, this is the word He uses.
When Paul says not to worry, but to bring everything to God in prayer with thanksgiving, and God’s peace will rule our hearts and minds (Philippians 4:6-7,) this is the word he uses.

Gods’ peace is not about lack of noise; it is about relationship and wholeness in Him.
This peace is the way of His Kingdom; we are citizens and ambassadors, bringing His peace to the world around us.
When we are born again, our old nature and the ways of the kingdom of this world die. To quote Bill Johnson, senior leader of Bethel, “Your old nature died of supernatural causes.”
Part of our work as new creations and members of God’s household is to change the world by carrying His presence wherever we go, giving all that He pours into us away. As we do this, He fills us more…with shalowm
The peace of the Lord be always with you.

About lifehelps

I am like a rich tapestry, full of texture and color. I'm a musician, composer, poet, gardener, homemaker and friend. I worked as anLCSW for 22 years; as a socialworker for 26 years all told. Before that, I was a rehabilitation teacher. My passion is to come alongside others; to empower and bless them. That is why you will find plenty of variety in my blog. Two very important things to know about me is that I am a life-long learner - An explorer and sojourner. I also belong to the Lord Jesus...now, before you get tweeked out: I am not saying I am "religious." There is a huge difference between all of the rules and empty practice that often gets associated with Christianity and the kind of life that comes from being in a relationship with the loving God. May you find encouragement, inspiration, insight, good ideas and a laugh or two as you read my posts and comments.
